The Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) are an initiative by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation in collaboration with the Health Units SA, in the context of the implementation of the National Primary Health Care Program in which the implementing body is the Urban Non-Profit Society “Regeneration and Progress» (R&P) under the auspices of the First University Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The mission of MMUs is to offer health care to residents of remote islands and remote areas throughout Greece and the possibility of free access to comprehensive health services.
